How we do it: Material Traditions
In our latest design project, we aimed to enhance the user experience by embracing traditional methods that not only respect the craft's heritage but also add a unique aesthetic and functional value to the final product. A key element of our approach was the adoption of the Shou Sugi Ban process, a revered Japanese technique used for preserving and finishing wood.
Kasuga: The Process
The famous Kasuga restaurant is situated at a privileged location in Colonia Americana in Guadalajara, inside of a landmark building located in La Paz Avenue. The restaurant’s goal is to create an attractive and versatile ambiance that invites guests to extend their stay from day to night, enjoying a relaxed experience together with a sense of privacy.
